Paulo
Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself, Paulo Cunha. My first introduction to Mondioring was around the age of 12 in Portugal with my uncle. It was through him that as a teenager I got to put on the decoy suit for the first time and how I developed my love and knowledge for this sport. I am grateful to work alongside this board, as we have worked hard the last few years to reintroduce Mondioring here to Canada. I am excited to further enrich my experience with my club in Ontario and I am excited to be able to grow this wonderful sport in this country.

Lily
Hi everyone, my name is Lily. Many individuals in the dog world know me as the ‘Doberman girl’ and I am second generation in my family to continue this tradition. I have been training and competing with my Dobermans in bite-sports for the last 7 years. I started and successfully trialed in Schutzhund/IGP and switched to Mondioring in 2024 with my new dog. I currently train at Barkside Bite Club. I have had the privilege to learn and train with highly respected individuals in Canada and the US. In addition, my professional experience outside of the dog world involves financial relations, ranging from financially advising clients to compliance and risk management at large financial firms. My goal as Treasurer is to be efficient and accurate in financial handling. As a Board Member, it is important to me to be involved in the future of Mondioring and help make it accessible to many more Canadians. I will strive to be fair and focus on the future of Mondioring in Canada, while preserving this intense, challenging, yet fun and exciting, nature of this sport.

Joan
Hello. My name is Joan Frelich. I live just outside Saskatoon, Sask. I have been expanding and learning about dogs and behaviours for over 15 years. I have dabbled in several things with my dogs such as herding, scent detection, barn hunt, trick dogs, rally and obedience before moving onto Mondio (my first bite sport). I am actively competing in many of these dog sports at once. I co-own and co-operate Redeemed K9 Training which focuses on pet obedience, reactivity and environmental stability. I’m currently working my 2-year-old male rottweiler with the goal of starting to trial in Mondio this year!

Hi, my name is Ken Heald. I have been an active trainer and competitor in various dog sports for 60 years. I have served on boards for local dog clubs and national associations. In 2009 I switched my full attention to IGP/Schutzhund. I have titled 3 dogs to IGP3 and 1 to IGP2. I competed at the Canadian All Breed National IGP Championships three times, with two different dogs. After the 2024 Nationals I decided that it was time for a change for myself and my Malinois, Expat’s Cachet IGP3, IFH1. We began training Mondioring with my local group, Oxford Working Dog Club, and both Cache and I are thoroughly enjoying the challenge of Mondioring. In September 2025 Cache got the first leg of her MR1 at the first ever CMA trial in Armena, Alberta. I am looking forward to helping grow the CMA organization and the exciting sport of Mondioring in Canada.
